Policy of e-Participation
 
e-Participation is a policy which is aimed to start a culture and practice of e-Participation to raise the level of transparency as well as the participation of the public to enhance the service quality of the Parliament of Malaysia.
 
Parliament of Malaysia always acknowledges public involvement so that it can look into broader perspectives, the potential source of information and solutions to improve its decision-making and service. e-Participation will serve as a platform for productive relations, effective dialogue and discussion as well as better governance.
 
The objective of e-Participation is to involve the public in policy-making and decision-making through the use of information and communication technology.
 
Therefore, the Parliament of Malaysia welcomes public participation provided it is compliant with the terms and conditions of participation set as follows:
  1. Any comments on racial, religious and political sensitivities are completely prohibited.
  2. Any comments that will cause embarrassment, personal attack & might offend others are prohibited.
  3. Control your comments, avoid being rude and cliquey.
  4. Chatting or posting a comment that is out of the main topic is not encouraged.
  5. Topic and link to PORN sites are strictly PROHIBITED.
  6. Ensure that your comment/topic does not infringe ‘COPYRIGHT LAW', ‘TRADEMARK', ‘PATENT' and others.
  7. Using this FORUM to carry out any competition, pyramid scheme, get-rich-quick scheme, internet scheme, chain letters, junk e-mail, either commercially or otherwise are PROHIBITED.
  8. Uploading files with computer viruses such as "Trojan Horses", "worms", "time bombs", "cancel boots" or any software or programmes that could affect other participants’ computers are prohibited.
  9. e-Participation administrator does not in any situation endorse, support, represent or guarantee the truth, accuracy or trustworthiness of any comment/topic in e-Participation. Individuals must understand that any risk related to the trustworthiness of any item in e-Participation is the individual's responsibility.
  10. e-Participation administrator has the right to amend and delete any statement/topic at any time without first informing the comment/topic author.
  11. e-Participation administrator has the right to amend the e-Participation User Guideline and Policy at any time without any prior announcement/notice.
  12. As a participant or when posting a comment in e-Participation, you are subject to the terms and conditions of the e-Participation User Guideline.
