Friday, 19 December 2014 - "Excellent Service, Glorious Life" was the theme of the Farewell Ceremony or Jasamu Dikenang Ceremony and Monthly Assembly December 2014 which was jointly organised by the Facilities & Landscape Maintenance Division and Research Division. The event which was held at the Banquet Hall, Parliament of Malaysia was started at 9.30 am. Present in the ceremony were Datuk Lamien Sawiyo, Chief Administrator of the Malaysian Parliament, En. Awang Alik Jeman, Deputy Chief Administrator of the Parliament of Malaysia and En. Riduan Rahmat, Secretary of The Senate.

Five officers were honoured in this event, namely:

First in the agenda was the presentation of administration reports and updates of the Parliament of Malaysia. It was followed by a briefing on the Savings and Health Cluster Scheme organised by the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS), presented by Puan Saadiah Mohd Noor. Next was a briefing on Medical Card of MAKSAK Medi-Care and Special MZ Retirement Funds for government employees organised by the Government Servants Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) presented by En. Affendi Tahrim. These briefings were very useful because they gave exposure to the Parliament staff about the benefits and rewards when they join these schemes, besides these can be made as preparation especially for their retirement.

Before the end of the ceremony, all the staff honoured in the ceremony was given the opportunity to deliver a short speech. While Datuk Lamien Sawiyo, in his speech and mandate, took the opportunity to thank the retiring staff for their contributions and services. The ceremony was ended with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the retirees and staff kit to the new officers and staff. The ceremony ended at about 12.00 pm.
