Friday, 15 August 2014 – A Department's Monthly Assembly for August 2014 was held on 14 August 2014 at Briefing Room, Parliament of Malaysia at 9.30am. The assembly were attended by Datuk Lamien Sawiyo, Chief Administrator of Parliament, Datuk Roosme Hamzah, Secretary of the House of Representatives and Datuk Zamani Sulaiman, Secretary of the Senate.

The assembly began with a display of current news such as visits to the Parliament and utilities report. Other than that, a Kit Handover Ceremony to 32 new officers and staff was also held and presented by the Chief Administrator of Parliament.

A Handover of Parliament Football Team Jersey was also held during the Assembly. As a symbolic, YM Tengku Nasaruddin Tengku Mohamed, Manager of the Parliament Football Team has handover the jersey to Datuk Lamien Sawiyo. Moreover, on the initiative of the team, they also produced a replica of the football jersey to be given to the top management of Parliament as a sign of gratitude for always supporting the team.

The assembly was ended with a speech and mandate by the Chief Administrator. Words of encouragement were given by Datuk Lamien Sawiyo to Parliament Football Team to always show an excellent performance in the future. Other than that, he also reminded all Parliament staff to always be grateful for the opportunity to live in a peaceful country like Malaysia compared to other countries like Gaza. The event ended at around 10.30am.
