Parliament of Malaysia, 19 September 2014 (Friday) - The Opening Ceremony of Members of Parliament Section and Legislative and Proceeding Section of The Senate was officiated by Datuk Lamien Sawiyo, the Chief Administrator of the Malaysian Parliament at First Floor Foyer, Tower Block, Parliament of Malaysia.

The ceremony which was started at around 2.45 pm was attended by Encik Awang Alik Jeman, the Deputy Chief Administrator, Chief Engineer, Division Secretaries, senior officials and staff of Parliament.

The cutting of the Yellow glutinous rice marked the officiating of the ceremony. Datuk Lamien Sawiyo and all the guests have taken the time to visit the new office that houses officers from Members of Parliament Section and Legislative and Proceeding Section of the Senate.

Generally, the setting up of new office for the two sections will provide a quality services to Members of Parliament as well as adopt best practices in resource management and administration of Parliament as a premier legislative institution.
