Wednesday, 18 February 2015—The courtesy call to H.E. Senator Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang, The President of The Senate by H.E. Murad Askarov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, was held at the Royal Chamber at Parliament of Malaysia at 9.45 am.

Present also was Datuk Lamien Sawiyo, Chief Administrator of Parliament of Malaysia. During the meeting, various topics especially on social issue and tourism were discussed.
 

President of The Senate received a traditional costume of Uzbekistan as a souvenir from H.E. Murad Askarov

Besides that, President of the Senate will visit Uzbekistan in March as part of the efforts to strengthen the cooperation and diplomatic tie between the two countries.
