Parliament of Malaysia, 2 September 2015 - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee today received French Senate's Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces Committee chairman, Jean-Pierre Raffarin.

Patricia Adam, chairman of the National Assembly's Defence and Armed Forces Committee, as well as eight other members of the French parliament also joined the delegation. Tuan Awang Alik Jeman, Chief Administrator of Parliament of Malaysia was also present.

Speaking to reporters after an hour-long closed-door meeting, Hon. Datuk Seri Dr. Ronald Kiandee said they exchanged views on security and defence issues.  He also briefed the French delegation on the functions of the Malaysian Parliament.
