Monday, 8 December 2014 – Melaka UMNO Youth Chief, Honourable Senator Tuan Zali Mat Yasin and Organising Secretary of MCA Kebangsaan, Honourable Senator Datuk Yoo Wei How, sworn in as Senator before the President of the Senate at 10am today.

On the other hand, former Vice-President of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Sarawak, Honourable Senator Datuk Lihan Jok also sworn in as a Senator for the second term before H.E. Senator Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang.
Honourable Senator Tuan Zali Mat Yasin, 41 years old is the President of Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council. He continued his study in Diploma of Management from the Federal Teachers’ Institute, Penang and furthered his study in Bachelor Degree of Education (Hon.) Sports Science from Sultan Idris University of Education, Perak in 2005. Other than that, he also served as Deputy Director for Melaka State Sports Council in 2013.

Honourable Senator Datuk Yoo Wei How, 41 years old is the Executive Director for Trans Inn Sdn. Bhd. He continued his study in diploma and degree at the Institute of Professional Manager and Administration, United Kingdom. Other than that, he was also a press secretary and private secretary to a few ministers since 1999 namely the Minister of Human Resources, Minister of Transportation and Minister of Health.

Honourable Senator Datuk Lihan Jok, 57 years old who is from Baram, Sarawak was once a State Assemblyman for Telang Usan from 2001 to 2011. He received his education from University of Science Malaysia from 1991 to 1994 in the Bachelor Degree of Education. Since 2007, he has been appointed as one of the Education Committee Members for Dayak Cultural Foundation and his involvement has greatly contributed a lot of ideas to develop culture and education for the Dayaks children in Sarawak. In addition, he was awarded with Sarawak Youth Leader award by the Sarawak State Government on 2004.
