The House Committee is established under Standing Order 71 of the Standing Orders of the Senate. This Committee shall consist of Tuan Yang di-Pertua as Chairman and four Senators to be nominated by the Committee of Selection as soon as may be after the commencement of every session of Parliament.
The House Committee functions to consider and advise Tuan Yang di-Pertua upon all matters connected with the comfort and convenience of and services and amenities available to Senators.
The House Committee shall not have power to send for persons, documents and papers unless the Senate so resolves.
The minutes of meetings of the House Committee shall be circulated to all Senators.
The House Committee is empowered to confer or sit as a Joint Committee with the House Committee of the House of Representatives.
