INTRODUCTION
 
The Administration of Parliament is led by the Chief Administrator of Parliament, Diplomatic and Administrative Officer Grade JUSA B who is responsible for the administration and financial affairs. He is assisted by two (2) Secretaries of the House; Secretary of the Senate and Secretary of the House of Representatives. The Secretary of the Senate is responsible for all affairs related to the Senate while the Secretary of the House of Representatives is responsible for all affairs related to the House of Representatives.
 
The Secretariat of Parliament of Malaysia consists of several divisions as follows:

      FUNCTION OF THE DIVISION
  • To become the secretariat and coordinator for all conferences/seminars hosted by Parliament that are related to the association/society/organization below:
        - IPU, PUIC, PGA, UN, ASGP, CPA, SOCATT, APPF, FEALAC, GPH, APPU, GOPAC, AIPA, AFPPD, APA,              
          ASEP, APPCED, IPAID, WSIS. 
  • To manage IPU and CPA Malaysia finances.
  • To obtain position papers and country briefs from related agencies for issues to be discussed.
  • To prepare Cabinet Paper if the conference is attended by Cabinet Members or hosted by Parliament.
  • To manage overseas official visits for the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ministers, Deputy President of the Senate and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives.
  • To manage all overseas work visits for Members of Parliament.
  • To manage and coordinate all international official/work visits to Parliament.
  • To manage all courtesy calls to the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ministers, Deputy President of the Senate and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives.
  • To handle all logistics matters for official/work visit managed by International unit. 
  • To manage all logistics matters for Conference/Seminar hosted by Parliament. 
  • To advise and coordinate all matters related to protocol in functions/programmes organized by Parliament.
  • To assist in all matters related to protocol in functions/programmes organized by other agencies 
  • To be the secretariat for the Parliamentary Friendship Group and Caucus.
  • To manage local and international visits by the Parliamentary Friendship Group and Caucus.
