Participated in the ASEAN-AIPA Interface preparatory meeting chaired by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Her Excellency Maharani Nakshatra Kusyala Devi together with my ASEAN counterparts. 

Engaged in this important platform for dialogue and consultation with my esteemed AIPA delegates, we reviewed the initial draft of the AIPA Message which will be delivered at the ASEAN-AIPA Leaders Interface before 11 ASEAN country leaders. 

Towards concreritising the Message, the delegates discussed global economic growth which was severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, and disruptions to food, energy and supply chain. 

I am confident that this collaboration will bring forth stronger political, security and trade stability to pave the way for sustainable and proseperous economic development in the Southeast Asian region. Thus, greater collaboration between the executive and legislature is needed in addressing global issues pragmatically.
