Wednesday, 8 May 2013 – The beat of music is not only used for entertainment, but can also be used as a way to unite Parliament staff through exercising. Hence, Parliament of Malaysia has proved it during the launching of ‘Senam 1Malaysia’ which was held at the Banquet Hall.
The launching was officiated by Mr. Mohamad Razy, Deputy Director General (Policies & Planning), National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN). Also present were, Director General of JKKN, Datuk Norliza Rofli, Dato’ Lamien Sawiyo, Chief Administrator Parliament of Malaysia, Datuk Roosme Hamzah, Secretary of the House of Representatives, Tuan Haji Mesran Mohd Yusop, Deputy Director General (Culture & Arts), National Department for Culture and Arts, Datuk Zamani Hj.Sulaiman, Secretary of the Senate, JKKN representatives and Parliament staff.
The first time Parliament of Malaysia held ‘Senam 1Malaysia’ was on 20 February 2013. This healthy activity takes place on every Wednesday and it has been held for 8 times and it often receives a good response from Parliament staff who are health conscious.
Indeed, exercising with music accompaniment is really interesting because other than entertaining, this kind of program will allow our body to sweat and make us healthy and fit.
